Nazis at NSW Parliament House

To see Nazis given permission to demonstrate in front of NSW Parliament House is an abomination.

39,658 Australians died in World War Two fighting Nazis according to the Australian War Memorial. Over 66,000 were wounded.

As one of the many Australians whose family members fought in World War Two, including my English mother and  Australian father, it deeply disturbed me to see Nazis lined up in front of the democratic house of our state government spewing their hate against Jewish people and several other multicultural communities.

In 2015 I attended the annual Bomber Command Association in Australia Christmas Lunch at NSW Parliament House with a film crew. I interviewed elderly men who flew with Bomber Command, senior members of the Australian Defence Force and the Consul General of France in Sydney, Nicolas Croizer. The Legion of Honour, had just been given by the French Government  to surviving men from Bomber Command who helped defeat the Nazis and liberate France.

Air Chief Marshal Sir Angus Houston AK, AFC (Ret’d), Patron of the Bomber Command Association in Australia, explains in this video the valour of these men and their role in defeating the Nazis.

His Excellency General The Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd), Governor of NSW at the time, also speaks.

The Australian pilots and crew discuss why they risked their lives to defeat Nazism. The video link is below.

We dishonour the sacrifice of Australians who risked everything to fight the Nazis by allowing so-called Neo-Nazis to gather and spread hate in front of the NSW Parliament.
