Support application for research funding by A/Prof Hannah Williams & Dr Connor Williams Phd, University of Adelaide on “Radioprotective effects of parthenolide lotion against skin injury caused by radiation (REPAIR) – Phase II”. They are testing a new lotion containing parthenolide, a plant-derived compound that reduces inflammation. This trial will see if it can safely protect the skin from radiation, improve quality of life and lower treatment costs; ultimately making radiotherapy safer and more effective.
Attend Head and Neck Cancer Gala Dinner Fundraiser and Awards as invited award finalist. Event hosts were Head and Neck Cancer Australia & the Australian and New Zealand Head & Neck Cancer Society.
Facilitate two tutorials for Survivors as Teachers program for 3rd Year Medical Students, University of Adelaide.
Attend Launch of ICON Cancer Centre North Adelaide & Tour of new radiation therapy service with a LINAC that has SGRT (Surface Guided Radiation Therapy) enabling the use of Open Face Immobilisation Masks for Brain Cancer and Head & Neck Cancer patients.

Video 1: an interview with ICON North Adelaide Site Manager and Radiation Therapist, Lydia Tamblyn about the multi-site research, development and implementation of the Open Face Mask system in Adelaide.
Video 2: video presentation on the benefits of the Open Face Mask option with SGRT from a patient perspective, including a Happy Birthday message to the UK produced, award winning podcast Rad Chat. These videos were filmed in the ICON bunker with the LINAC and distributed via YouTube and social media.
